This is just a trial to show the 7th graders how.

I think a good thing to change in school is the hat rule.
ReplyDeleteI wear my hat everywhere i go and it bugs me not being able to have a hat on. i don't really understand why we have the hat rule anyway. i am addicted to hats and don't see it as a problem
-Dacoda ?=(
one thing the teachers could do to improve bigfork schools is to have more dances
ReplyDelete*cheese and pickles are awesome :)*
i also think better school lunchs are needed. Then we wouldnt have to have pizza every day i mean how much $$$$ must it cost daily??????????????????
ReplyDelete-DACODA
one way to make bms better is better lunches and longer lunch time.matthew
ReplyDeleteWe could have an eighth period class where we go to a classroom where we need help in a subject and if we don't need help there could be places where we could hangout or play games this would help the students keep there grades up and it would be much easier to pass your classes and student who maybe don't have good grades and like sports will still be able to play them. With the help from our teachers we would have better grades and better GPA's

I think we should use ipods or ipads for work instead of killing a tree every day for one little assignment

I think that after the bell rings for the last class of the day to be over, kids should be able to have there phone's out because that is the end of the day same for in the morning we shouldn't be able to get our phone's taken away before the bell rings....
ReplyDelete~Jewle~
I think the staff should have fund- raiser so classes can have more field trips
ReplyDeletealyssa At
At the beginning of the trimester you should give us a calendar of when the dances are going to be. So there is no confusion and kids will know in advance when they will be. -Gavin
ReplyDeleteI think that teachers could make more chances for kids to get their grades higher even if they have like a b because they only give the kids with ds or lower a chance to like redo work but my parents wont accept anything less then an a. So yeah extra credit opportunities for kids with a c or higher would be great.

I think that we should be able to have our phones during the day like the high school does.
ReplyDeleteLincoln M
I think that students should be able to have a choice if they want to go outside or stay inside instead of being kicked out once we finish our lunch.
ReplyDelete~Catherine
we should have more time to get homework done each day.

I think that a way to make BMS better for the 8th grade is if we had a better recess. Almost all the time we are either in the gym not really able to do anything but sit around or we are outside but then still you are not really really able to do anything because of the lack of equipment.
ReplyDeleteDavid Matthews
As an 8th grader i believe last year was more fun and full of activities for all the kids. For example, the music in the hallways between classes. The fact that there is no leadership classes or even student council seems like the teachers are not trying for this year. The system we have seems lazy and unorganized. Which in past years i had enjoyed have those class options. This year seems like less fun and play and more just school, which makes kids uninterested and bored with school which honestly doesn't take much. Im not saying everyday is a party but, i think the teachers should try harder to organize something for the better good of our year.

I am agreeing with VICKI HIZA's earlier comment..if we shortened each class period a little bit, so that we could have an 8th period study hall,i ,and many others, would find that useful. We could use it to go and get extra homework done or we could use it to free read. With people who are in sports and after school activities babysitting, etc. there isn't always time to get homework done..and we cant all stay up till 2:30 min the morning doing homework. If we had an 8th period study hall we would b able to get any homework from the day, done. That would leave kids without the stress of having to find time to do homework at home. My step sisters, who attend a different school, have an 8th period study hall. They say it is very useful and each day they come home with no homework, and time for things that are more important then school...(yes,there are things more important then school) :)
ReplyDeleteI would really really enjoy an 8th period study hall.
Thnx

I think that the school board should not waste money on ipads or smart phones for the teachers. We could have much better educations without them and have more money for fieldtrips and things like healthy food. Not pizza every day or microwaved left over foods. If i go to get a salad i dont want the lettuce to be browning, or the buns to be soggy or stale. Also what are we going to do for an 8th grade trip?? Last year they spent almost the entire year fundraising and we havent even started. it is approaching us quickly and we dont even realize it. i want my last year here before high school to be enjoyable and have lots of fun educational field trips. but since the money the school has isnt being used wisely i dont get to do that. We need more recess and outside time. not going into the gym for lunch. we need to go outside. all those studies saying that excercise and a break from learning and going outside helps us learn even better are true. we get 30 minutes out of 7+ hours of learning for lunch. and only 15 of those are for actual run around time the rest is for eating. teachers say they listen to us and try to make school better but all they improve is our learning techniques. not we actually say. we dont need better learning techniques we need better food to learn better and more outside time and excercise (not meaning gym). we should have teachers willing to stay after school for study backs. ~Alyssa Wallen~
ReplyDeletei dont like the hat rule, i don't understand what is so disrespectful about someone wearing a hat
ReplyDeleteLogan W
i agree with MICHAELA SCOTTS comment and ELIZABETH KALENAKS and VICKI HIZA. TEACHERS PPLEASE LISTEN TO OUR VOICES. THEY ARE NEVER HEARD AND NEED TO BE.
ReplyDeleteALYSSA WALLEN
i agree with donavan we need more free time because we are in class alot and we need more time outside and between classes colton stodghill
ReplyDeleteThere are some good ideas posted here. I have heard about other schools with an 8th period and agree it would be an improvement for BMS. I also like the idea of giving students a calendar of activities that includes dances afield trips so everyone knows ahead of time.
ReplyDeletei think that the teachers don't listen to kids enough we have a voice and they don't listen to it. we want to be heard and listened to noah vanquekelberg
ReplyDeleteI really agree with Michaela! It seemed like 8th graders last year had so much fun, Decorating floats in spirit week. random assembly's to take a break and have fun. I think teachers need to add more fun into our work because were not trying to just get out of doing work, we just dont want to be bored to death by lectures or being told what not to do all day long! Our 8th grade class "Loves to laugh and be spontaneous" As mrs. Wilondek said to me. And i believe this is very very true! This means we will not work as well under pressure or circumstances where we cant be social!!

For everyone saying that we need better lunches, its not the schools fault. the government gives us these foods and the money to get food. the school doesnt have the money or the options to get better food. but i do say that buying the ipads and such is cool but i think that we dont need them. we could have just stayed with the laptops and use books. they are just as good as ipads.
ReplyDeleteRoss
I agree with Kassandra. Last year 8th graders got to do a lot. In a lot of ways 7th graders were left out. Its the same for us this year. we dont get to participate in all the fun things 8th graders did last year. so to make it better, we should start doing some of the same activities. Music in the halls, and just free time where we have fun. Like Michaela said, School is starting to get less interesting very quickly. we need to be encouraged to come to school so that we know we are gonna enjoy in between classes.... and not completely dread coming here
ReplyDeleteKarlee(:
I also agree with ross! The iPads may be fun and all... but they are a waste of money. we could use that for better things. like the things we need for sports and such. not something we dont need.....
ReplyDeleteA wise teacher once taught me there is a difference between need and want and we want them but we dont need them.
Karlee(:
Exactly, they are really distracting for some people, they can't concentrate or focus at all. Most people do on them is mess around which gets them into lunch with Lori which then makes them mad and in the end they cant blame anybody, but themselves for this.
ReplyDelete-Deidre Leslie (:
yes, i agree with the ipads i mean....we could totally use that money for something we actually need like better lunches or sports!
